my entry for *Mistress-of-Air's Creative Copycat Contest

I used the picture below as a reference:

Uhm, there are definitely too many colours here. And the Creator's left wing is bending a bit weird, I'll need to study wings soon. There should be a lightning in the background, but with it the picture would kill you with shininess (if it didn't yet). And yes, the noise effect was intentional.

Your concept of this image as a redraw as I call it is as similar as I see it as different, as like fire vs. ice, light and dark. The black and blue fire phoenix has that if a dragon if not wyvern aspect to the for within this phoenix feathered design, seems also to have a third eye. The golden phoenix is more closely related to the fire bird creature like as seen of this species. The look is quite good and is to my liking, it is very nice, well done. :)

This is so beautiful... I love your colouring technique, and the noise effect was a clever idea. I always used the noise only to make feather and fur textures, I never saw anyone using it on a finished piece. It's so well done! :la:

Tip, I also wrote this on someone else picture, my boyf told me the translation for it :) 'overlap', try to find the lines, the beginning lines again. Its maybe in the beginning hard, but its actually very simple, So if you found the begin, so thus the line you started at, actually simple said, overcross a line over the next line. Forgot a next sentence what I wanted to say, look a bit 3Dimensional :) Or study maybe sculptures :) ^^ They are way more easier to study :)

So In short summary; Start a line, ofcourse, find the space whats left, what should be connect, maybe actually opposite would be said, and try to study sculptures, examples you maybe could find In stores, spiritual stores, enough dragons!!! :) You can rotate the sculpture ofcourse whenever you want ^^

And Its all maths!!! Maths maths maths!!! :) ^^ Art and maths :)

I hope Its a handy tip :) If not, comments to this, is welcome!!! :)

I use similar technique to draw dragon wings, but it's a bit different with bird wings. It's all about the feathers, it's hard to find a proper direction for them

If you use a direction of a wind, or also something else, find the way were Its going ofcourse :)
